Ellwood Manor, built circ. 1790, was the site of a Union headquarters during the Battle of the Wilderness in May 1864 and was the site of a hospital following the battle. Confederate Gen. Stonewall Jackson's arm, amputated in May 1863 during the nearby Battle of Chancellorsville, is buried here.

Grounds open daylight hours year-round, Ellwood Manor hours change seasonally (April-October). See website. Free.
